It pays tribute to the ancient habitat that the 200 Monges built in the rocks of Albelda and which today constitutes the group of caves of the rupestrian scriptorium.

200 MONGES
It takes its name from the 200 Monges who inhabited the disappeared Monastery of San Martín de Albelda and who dedicated their lives to safeguarding culture. We write it with “G” because that is how the word appeared at the dawn of Spanish.
